6 Day Kruger Safari

6 Day Kruger National Park Safari (the home of the big five)

Crowned Eagle Tours & Safaris will collect visitors from Johannesburg, Pretoria, O R Tambo International Airport or surroundings, Mozambique or Swaziland. For clients flying into the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, we meet you and transfer you to your chosen hotel.

Day 1

5 Day Kruger Park Safari- Kruger Bufalo -  Crowned Eagle ToursWe depart from Johannesburg at 07h30am to your selected hotel/Lodge in Hazyview. This is a small but important town, being only 10 minutes from the Kruger National Park’s Phabeni gate as well as being the gateway to the Panoramic Route. Using Hazyview as a base certainly makes exploring the Kruger Park and surrounds much easier. Guests are afforded the opportunity to relax and unwind and ready themselves for our 16h15 departure for your exciting sunset or night Kruger drive. Late afternoon and night drives allow guests to view the African bush as some animal’s bed down for the night and other ramp up their hunting activities. On your return at 20h30, dinner will be waiting for you. On this activity you may spot the animals like Hyena, Lion, Leopard, Owls and other nocturnal animals.


Day 2

Full day safari: On the second day, clients awake to a very early wake up call in preparation for an exciting day of animal spotting.

Starting at 05h30 with tea or a strong cup of coffee and snacks before getting on the safari vehicle, visitors pick up their pre packed breakfast. Setting off in the cool morning improves visitors chances of spotting large predators as they head back from their hunts. The large cats and hyenas tend to patrol the parks network of roads at this time of the day.

  • the lion
  • the leopard
  • the rhino
  • the buffalo and the elephant.

Guests are returned to their hotels by 16h00. Dinner is served from 18h00 until 22h00 with the traditional dance depend on the day.

Your guide will stop for your breakfast and lunch in one of the Kruger National Park’s many picnic sites or camps. All the park’s picnic sites and camps sport gift shops, fast food outlets and restaurants allowing visitors to shop to their heart’s content. Full day safaris allow guests to cover a large area which increases one’s chances of spotting more animals. After lunch guests continue their search for wild animals. At the end of the day visitors are returned to their hotels and accommodation establishments for a sun downer and dinner.


Day 3


Breakfast is served from 06h00 to 07h45. At 08h00 our vehicle departs for Moholoholo Rehabilitation centre where guests will attend talks, be given a tour of the centre as well where guests can view the various animals at close quarters. There is chance that guests may be afforded the opportunity to pet cheetah kittens. From here guests will visit the world renowned cheetah breeding project where they will be given a tour of the facilities.


Day 4

This day is dedicated to viewing some of South Africa’s most iconic scenery, i.e. Mpumalanga hidden treasures on the Panorama Route. Even God has his window on this route. The day’s highlights include:3-Day-Kruger-Park-Safari-Panoram-Tour-Three-Rondavels-Crowned-Eagle-Tours

  • God’s Window,
  • The Blyde River Canyon (the third largest Canyon in the world)
  • Three Rondavels
  • Lisbon Falls
  • The gold rush town of Pilgrims Rest where the entire town has been declared an National Monument and
  • Dullstroom where for lunch at Harries Pancakes visitors get to sample the famous Lowveld Pancake

Guests are returned to their respective hotels by 18H00 in time for dinner.


Day 5

6-Day-Kruger-Park-Safari-Kruger-Elephant-Sanctuary-Crowned-Eagle-ToursOne of the highlights of our 6 day tour is the visit to the Elephant Sanctuary. Here guests will interact with the mighty African Elephant. Walk, trunk in hand and ride on the back of an African Elephant. If you are lucky, you might get a kiss from the Elephant. This activity it takes two hours. From here we return to the hotel for lunch and a day at leisure.


Day 6

2-Day-Kruger-Park-Safari-Kruger-Night-Drives-Crowned-Eagle-ToursJburgSadly we leave after breakfast for Johannesburg and are due to arrive by early afternoon.
